Wellsite surveys, both in surveyed and unsurveyed territory are a staple for Fugro GeoServices with the company performing more than 600 in a typical year.

In addition to pipelines connecting individual, or clusters of, well sites, Fugro GeoServices has experience in surveying and mapping very large pipeline projects, such as the Keystone pipeline in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. This project covered over 1000 kilometers. Fugro GeoServices was responsible for Lidar mapping for the creation of ortho photo along the route and for DTM. Some of the other activities included in the project were:

• centerline route staking
• environmental ground surveys
• archaeological test pit surveys
• crossing profile surveys
• various pump and meter station surveys
• mainline ROW legal survey and posting
• river crossing hydrological surveys
• production of alignment sheets, construction drawings, crossing drawings PPBORs and final legal plans

Fugro GeoServices has experience in control surveys both for aerial mapping applications such as Lidar or for conventional surveys relying on the control network.
