LiDAR and Imagery data can prove to be highly valuable tools for mapping and GIS population for the pipeline industry
- Pipeline route planning including volumetric analysis and environmental disturbance
- Identify structures within High Consequence Areas, Potential Impact Circles.
- Use LiDAR surface data in conjunction with existing 3D pipeline position (from geopig or as-built) to monitor depth of cover. Minimal coverage "danger zones" can
be represented geographically on ortho mosaic imagery.
In Alberta, Saskatchewan and the Territories, legal surveys and pipeline agreements can be registered from data collected during the LiDAR survey by Fugro SESL's Alberta, Saskatchewan and Canadian Land Surveyors on staff.
